Confidence in the economy has grown
MaritzCX began conducting a series of surveys among affluent investors in 2010 – during the height of the financial crisis. Follow-up surveys were administered in 2012 during the recovery and then again in 2014, several years into the recovery. In 2018, MaritzCX conducted another wave of research following the market’s record performance in 2017. The survey was done online among 1,007 investors with over $100,000 of privately held investable assets from March 13, 2018, to March 21, 2018.
MaritzCX surveyed a sample of affluent investors (at least $100,000 in investable assets). Then we asked them about their confidence in the economy, market returns, general attitudes about investing, as well as their experiences with firms and advisors. Some findings were expected, and some were surprising. As anticipated, confidence in the economy has grown steadily through the recovery.
